Map My Mole is a digital mole and blemish mapping and analysis service that uses high-quality dermatoscopic imaging to assess pigmented skin lesions. This service allows us to securely send images of your mole(s) to a team of dermatology specialists who review the mole for signs of skin cancer, including melanoma.

It is ideal for:

• Monitoring changing or irregular moles
• Peace of mind before cosmetic treatment
• Detecting lesions that need further medical attention

Why is this important?

Many people have moles, freckles, or pigmented spots, and while most are harmless, some can develop into serious conditions such as melanoma. Early detection is key-Map My Mole provides a proactive approach by offering expert screening without long NHS wait times or unnecessary referrals.

• Capture – We take a clear dermoscopic image of your mole or lesion.
• Submit – The image is securely sent to Map My Mole’s team of UK dermatologists.
• Analyse – A specialist reviews the image using clinical criteria for skin cancer risk.
• Report – You’ll receive a medical-grade report in 24–72 hours with a recommendation (e.g., monitor, seek GP referral, or safe to treat).

What if something is flagged?

If a mole or blemish is flagged as suspicious or needing further attention, we will not proceed with any cosmetic treatment until you’ve had it reviewed by your GP or a dermatologist. Your health always comes first.

Can I request this even if I’m not booking a treatment?

Yes. The Map My Mole service can be booked as a standalone consultation. It’s a great option if you’ve noticed a mole that has changed in size, colour, or shape—or simply want peace of mind.
